The Eastside Arts Society develops and produces some of Vancouver’s most innovative and cherished programming for contemporary performing and visual arts. Through initiatives including the Eastside Culture Crawl Festival, Eastside Arts Festival, Eastside Arts District, and Studio 101, we work to inspire, educate, and engage the community through the arts.

Events Coordinator (Canada Summer Jobs)

Term: 8 weeks, June 8 – August 3, 2026. 35 hrs per week.
Compensation: $ 21.40/ hr

We’re looking for an Events Coordinator Assistant to work as an integral member of our small team to help deliver some of Vancouver’s most beloved annual arts festivals. The Events Coordinator Assistant is responsible for assisting with event coordination and marketing of the Eastside Arts Festival and supporting the work of the Development Committee.

Fundraising Coordinator (Canada Summer Jobs)

Term: 8 weeks, June 29 – August 24, 2026. 35 hrs per week.
Compensation: $ 21.40/ hr

We’re looking for a Fundraising Coordinator to play an integral role in donor stewardship, sponsorship outreach, and fundraising coordination for the Eastside Arts Society. This position also contributes to event coordination and marketing tasks associated with the Eastside Arts Festival and supports the work of the Development Committee.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are a vital part of the Eastside Arts Society and help make our programming possible each year. We are always seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and engaged volunteers to support festivals, public events, artist programs, and community initiatives throughout Vancouver’s Eastside.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Festival and event support
  • Visitor services and information booths
  • Artist and venue assistance
  • Set up and take down
  • Outreach and promotional support
  • Workshops and activity support
 

From the Eastside Arts Festival to the Eastside Culture Crawl, volunteering with EAS is a great way to connect with artists, attendees, and fellow volunteers while contributing to the diversity and vibrancy of Vancouver’s arts community.

Volunteers gain behind-the-scenes insight into the production of arts festivals and cultural events, discover creative spaces and artists across the Eastside, and help create welcoming and engaging experiences for the public.

  • All volunteers must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Volunteer opportunities are suitable for a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels.
